Internationally successful top riders in the jury
German Horse Center has announced the jury for the first international online dressage and show jumping event. For the style jumping tests: Karsten Huck and Franz Schulze Schleithoff, for the dressage tests: Helen and Sebastian Langehanenberg. The jury is looking forward to a one of a kind online event.
For the first time, riders of all levels and nations can enter four riding tests by online video submission to the German Horse Center Facebook page and view how other riders and horses will have completed the test in their countries. It will be a fascinating event. The jury will assess every rider and provide personal feedback with training advice.
Jury Style JumpingKarsten Huck
Show jumping trainer - Reitmeister FN, Olympic bronze medal 1988 in Seoul
66 years old, has been training internationally successful show jumping riders for 35 years.
Karsten is one of the few holders of the title Reitmeister FN in Germany. His greatest achievements as a trainer include the preparation of show jumping riders for the Olympic Games in Barcelona and Hong Kong.
Since 2005, Karsten has won numerous national championships and medals with riders of the Shanghai team.
Franz Schulze Schleithoff
Show jumping trainer – double Pferdewirtschaftsmeister, Riding and Breeding & Stable Management with distinction
32 years old, specializes in young rider development.
Franz is running a riding school and a competition stable. He is mostly training young horses which he successfully shows in show jumping events up to the advanced level.
Franz has gained much of his training experience abroad. Among others, he is training students in the U.S.A., Taiwan, Costa Rica and the Czech Republic.
Jury DressageHelen Langehanenberg
Dressage rider and trainer, Pferdewirt and World Cup 2011 dressage finalist.
29 years old, student of Klaus Balkenhol.
Helen is an exceptional dressage talent in Germany and has been a member of the German dressage A-squad since 2011.
She has been placed second in the team competition at the European Championships in Rotterdam. Her top Grand Prix horses include Responsible OLD, Damon Hill and Fürst Khevenhüller.
She and her husband, Sebastian, are known for their sensitive riding style.
Sebastian Langehanenberg
Dressage trainer, Pferdewirtschaftsmeister with distinction and trainer of Helen Langehanenberg
31 years old, specializes in the classical training of dressage horses up to advanced and Grand Prix level.
Sebastian has achieved many victories and placements in the most advanced classes and has a lot of experience from abroad. He is training clients in the U.S.A., Canada, England and Australia, among others.
The goal is to have fun with the horse and share the experiences of a one of a kind online event. Participation and feedback is free.
How it Works Everyone can participate: Competitive and leisure riders, clubs and school horse riders with horses of all breeds.
The event is hosted in English. Riding tests will be available in German and English.
Schedule 20 January 2012: Riding tests are published and the challenge begins. 28 February 2012 (24:00 h GMT+1): Posting of videos closes. Starting 1 March 2012: The jury will provide feedback to all participants.
